In the 60s I had a good paying job as a salesman at a well known electrical store in Leeds , that is until one of my friends said, “ Do you want to be lead vocal in our rock group?” I just said “YES!” the `day job` went to the wall as I set sail as a Rock icon? The fist group was based in Castleford “Fish and Chips.” What? Then “Spring Fever.” Nearly made it with S.F. Recorded at Decca, London. All that happened was, we had two of our songs pinched. Then I formed “Hudson Bay Co.” Got lots of bookings with this group, every booker would say “ Hudson Bay? I`ve heard of you!” Then I was approached by a famous local group “Graham Travis Set.” We toured all over the U.K. And R.A.F bases in Germany. Travis group broke up, so I went `solo`. I joined Equity , (Actors Union.), but they had a `Peter Hudson on the books, so I changed my name turning it round to `HUDSON PETERS` |
